I think the 3007 looks better, but the 3008 wins in the feature dept hands down. Congrats on the purchase. I want one, but my wife will leave me and I'll be back in an appartment missing half of my ****.

I still love my Dell UltraSharp 30" LCD Model: 3007WFP-HC Monitor the very same day I got it. But please do share you're review with us...thanks!

Well...

It does look better than the 3007-HC. Alot brighter, A little more colorful if you can believe that, and it seems alot crisper. I am a totaly gamer and it looks incredible. I mostly play World of Warcraft and the game looked beautiful on the 3007-HC but it looks slightly better. Where I notice a big difference is on the icons and text. They are very detailed and bright.

I have to say you can't go wrong with either monitor. Both are incredible to say the least. The only benefit I can really see so far is the extra inputs and the display port which I wont be able to try until the 9800's come out.

I have a few PC's running on my desk so I will take some pics and post tomorrow of the two monitors side by side running off 2 8800GTX Superclocked.

117% NTSC color gamut that is why it looks bettter, more colorful, than the older models.

This is what the Dell UltraSharp 3008WFP 30" will run you with tax. Infact, you have to own a business in order to even be considered for this price point. Just take a look.

Personally I prefer the look of the 07 series (the base, edges, buttons, etc).

Mildly off topic: What's the deal with the Displayport thing? Why do companies have an obsession with generating new "standards" for video connectors all the time? Most of the monitors I have still use old VGA plugs and I haven't seen a single high end video card that shipped with anything other than VGA or DVI.

I to like the look of the 07 series vs. the 08. Infact, it matches the color scheme of my hp blackbird 002 to a T

So what's you're gaming experience like? Come on? We want user experience compared to the Dell Ultrasharp 3007. Can you see a difference when gaming?

Hmm... I have had a few days now playing Warcraft on the 3008. It is brighter and sharper. Slightly more colorful. I have to say I am on the fence wether it was worth upgrading. Some days I think yea it was worth it other days I'm not so sure. I got a great deal on the monitor and was able to send back my 3007WFP-HC for a full refund so it was sort of a no brainer for me to pay $250 for it.

I tried hooking them up for side by side for a comparison but my other PC has an EVGA 8800GTS Superclocked 640MB and it won't run the 3007WFP-HC.

One thing I don't like... All the options... Sheeesh. I LOVE all the inputs but man there are ALOT of diffferent ways to tweak your display on the 3008. It drives me up the wall. I probably have spent 3-4 hours just jacking around with the settings trying to get it the way I like it. My eyes are all screwed up... lolololol The 3007WFP-HC just had brightness and contrast. VERY simple.

If you are upgrading from ANY other monitor than the 3007WFP-HC. Then hands down. BUY THIS MONITOR. But if you have a 3007WFP-HC you might want to wait for something better to come along. But I am pretty happy with this monitor so far.

I just canceled my Dell order on the 3008. I have the revision of the Dell 3007 and it's almost to bright in colors to be honest. I'm sure it will look no different compared to my revision of the 3007 other then a bunch of added ports. Plus I still prefer the 3007 look over the 3008
The 3007 matches my hp blackbird 002 and that's hard to pull off. If it isn't broken...don't fit it!

Hell the 30" Dell Ultrasharp 3007 has rich vivid colors. Much brighter on the revision for sure. All dell did was add more ports! I'm very pleased with my 3007 I'll pass on the 3008 as all they did was change the design and offer more ports. I know the color scheme is the same.
