Patch 1.1 is released!

Installed 1.1 and even though framerate didn't seem to go up, there isn't as much hitching, and the complete 10-second freeze i experience in Reckoning during the first cutscene with Admiral Morrison is gone. I'm still getting major chug on the snow levels in Vista DX10 mode though.

In my XP install of Crysis, I'm running the very high hack, and I was wondering if any one else was having depth of field problems. Sometimes I zoom in with the sights, and the depth of field effect doesn't turn on when zoomed in, but then other times it does.

Edit: Also, sorry if this was explained before, but is the chug I experience on the snow levels in DX10 mode solvable? I'm running 169.28 (the latest betas). What's your config if you don't experience this (in Vista DX10, in XP DX9 the snow levels are fine for me)?

Makes the lighting much, much better. The sun is actually extremely bright, and night-time is actually dark rather than being light enough to see without night-vision goggles.

Performance still sucks for the most part, but it's worth checking out for sure and makes the game look much more realistic in terms of the day & night lighting itself.

The object-based motion blur seems to have quite some affect there, triggering some blur on the snowflakes, disabling that helped, but what actually helped even more was to make sure that the game was properly in full screen mode. When I launched it after applying the patch the screen looked properly maximized but in the settings the "full screen" option wasn't checked, and once I did that, performance went up in DX10 snow level. It was strange (as if it was vsync related) and once I alt+tab and go back to the game and maximize it with alt+return, I usually need to check the "full screen" option in the settings once again.

Yep as chubz said it just makes a few lighting tweaks aswell a few system.cfg tweaks to bring in some very high effects and adds a few perfomance tweaks. I like it because I need to actually use my night vision now.

i have to admit. before the patch i wasn't atall impressed. but after the patch i have been playing it every day.

im on the last level now, and i must say it ran great on most levels. even the ice/snow level ran good, 25-40 fps

until u at least understand what u like/dislike u probly shouldnt try to comment on the understanding others may have.

u spend all this time talking about how its just a pretty tech demo and graphics dont matter, yet u get a mod that changes the lighting and a patch that gives u some type of placebo fps improvement and now that u can play at higher settings u play it thru 3 times in a row. u invalidate ur own opinions on a daily basis
