Apparently, no performance increase under XP. Bah.

After formatting my system the other day, honestly I can't be bothered to install my copy of Vista just to see a 2-3 FPS difference in a game that isn't even all that fantastically enjoyable to start with.

I want an (XP) GoW patch instead

Anyways, I'd sooner see the low fps be improved. going from 56 fps to 63 fps isn't helping anyone but the benchmark wh0res. I'm more interested in seeing the 17 go to 24

hm for those using XP.. are you sure you're not getting a performance increase?

i did.. (maybe cause of SLI) game play is sooooo much smoother, averaging around 40+fps at
1680x1050, 2xAA, dx10 tweaks and a pretty cool lighting mod. goes over 60 but only when
there is not much going on. rarely dips below 30. but even at 30, it seems somehow faster, more responsive
than it did before. i also really dig the new options!

oh yeah, this is using AFR2.

So they knew the performance was dogged. No mention of QXXX series improvements though.

i got at some points some fps increase but we all knew SLI was the one that got performance increase not single cards

DX10 single card performance is up in Contact, Core, and Reckoning but I'm not sure about snow level (Paradise Lost), it's quite slow there but I don't really remember exact numbers I got there before the patch. (DX10, all veryhigh, 1080p)

The framerate dips in Vista DX9 are lower just as in XP, but overall XP still runs a little faster (2-3fps average).
