The DX9 tweaked "Very High" runs a lot better.
Did anyone else notice the music sounds different in Vista/DX10 (the menu music), or maybe I'm just thinking it did. ![]()

yes..thank you for confirming what everyone has been saying for the past month. ^^
We know dx9 performs better... we also know dx10 looks better, and its higher quality shaders as well as vista penalty are an attribute to its lax performance. Just pick your poison.

I actually played through the game with everything on Ultra High except for shaders which I left on medium. For the most part things ran fine except inside the mountain (zero gravity area) and in the snow. The frame rates went to pot then. In the KPA areas the frame rates where mostly acceptable, but could have been better.
I'll play it again once we have new video cards that can handle it maxed out.
