Default Rock Band

I just picked this up for 360. Can any others give me some impressions of it before I get home?

Rock Band is a great party game. If you are mainly going to play solo then I prefer Guitar Hero 3. Also pay close attention to the peripherals (drums and guitar). I hear that the guitar has a tenancy to break quite easily. If you own a guitar hero guitar then use that. The actual game is sweet though (a bit easier then GH3).

I don't have any of the GHs.

My wife likes to play though and my sister-in-law's boyfriend has GH3 and 2 controls he brings over all the time. The problem with that is, 2 people are left sitting out. With Rock Band, he can bring over one control and more people can play at once.

I think it will be win-win for everyone except my wallet buying this and all the DLC to follow.

They should be available within a month or so. I know Mad Catz has gotten the contract to make 3rd party ones and I think official ones will be available then too.

And BTW, the drums are real fricken hard to play on there.

Played for a few hours over Christmas break. Its loads of fun but watch out and treat the bass pedal carefully. I watched someone break the plastic at the base..oops, I think they replace for free though.

DLC is 10x better on Rock Band. Its 3 songs once a week cheaper than the 6 (if lucky) songs a month from GH for a larger price too? Dissapointing
