I am hoping the BD CE's step up with the players, and stop producing crap. From what I've seen at CES, the players coming this summer are there but we'll see.

I'd also like the BD authoring tools to be much improved, it is far too clunky, and feels like a beta product still. PS3 fans don't care, they just want to watch the movie.

bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu,bu ,bu,bu,bu...the fights not over, its just beginning. I was hoping HD DVD would stick around longer. Unlike many I'm not opposed to having both formats fighting it out as I think it would have been more beneficial to the consumer. This is like the final nail in the coffin. All the big studios are now on one format.

Yeah... who buys movies to watch them?

Assuming Warner double dips and re-releases 300 and other movies to be on par with the HD DVD versions, I guarantee you'll think it's awesome.

I like a complete package, not 75% of it.

Playing stupid again Hunt? PQ/AQ is a wash, so why do you prefer the lesser version of a movie that is incomplete? Anything to do with being a PS3 fanboy? If it were reversed, and BD had all the goodies, you'd be pimping it. You are transparent dude, just like your homoerotic fantasies for Flatley.

Really? I didn't know uncompressed was the same as a lossy 1.5 DTS+++++ OMG IT HAZ TEH PLUZES!@

I watched some of the PIP stuff on Sunshine (because OMG Blu-Ray has it too, what will HD-DVD do?!) and honestly the stuff is horrible... it takes up a quarter of the screen and doesn't add anything to the movie.

And I also laugh at that petition... it says HD-DVD has in movie menus over Blu-Ray... uhhh... that has been in Blu-Ray since day one... but whatever.

More BD ignorance. A lot of BD's require you to stop the movie to access the menu.

Can you tell me how you are getting uncompressed audio on your Fox and other titles? Which HDMI 1.3a receiver are you using? What BD player are you using to bitstream it?

I love how the only thing you can bring up is Fox titles. And I haven't ran into one movie yet that required me to stop the movie to access the menus.

Keep repeating the HD-DVD gospel. Let me guess what is next... "Blu-Ray wouldn't even HAVE TEH PIP IF IT WASNT 4 TEH HD-DVD COMPTISHION!@"... how close was I?

More BD ignorance. Did you know the inclusion of Uncompressed tracks is slowly diminishing in favor of the advanced codes?

Do you have anything to add to this Home Theater section Hunt? Do you have any knowledge to share? Questions? All I see is a rabid PS3 fanboy. Go back to the console section.

Ah and it was the PS3 Fanboy comeback... should have known. Me using the PS3 as my BD player right now is me being a smart consumer and not buying 5 standalones like you... I will wait until there is a player I truly want before I get a standalone.

Waits for Flatley comment.

Apparently Hunt doesn't care about being able to hear the lossless audio in these movies, the DTS core is fine:

Hey Hunt, I can listen to every track on every BD release
