does it really take three days for a full system scan with kaspersky? I was using NOD32 and it would take maybe an hour or two. WTF..3 days to scan maybe 150gb.. you gotta be kidding me.

yeah I am seriously thinking about going back. This POS isn't worth it.. cpu utilization is through the roof with this thing.

I'm using Kaspersky and love it. Full scan takes less than an hour on my 150 GB.

Same here. Also something to note is that Kaspersky might scan a little slower when first installed but things speed up tremendously once its had a run-over of the files once.

one thing to check would be how much of the cpu usage it's allowing itself to use.

i.e. if i remember correctly you can change from normal, high, low, etc. Change the CPU usage for it in the settings and see if that helps.

either your CPU is at 60%+ utilization, or your HD is having a hard time being read, scan it for errors
