Since my new laptop will be n based, I’m considering upgrading to n based router.
What are some recommendations, I was considering some d-link, have d-link now, no issues.

The Netgear one looks pretty cool.

I have the DGL-4500 and it's great. The only drawback is that it doesn't support the 5ghz (N-A) standard and the 2.4Ghz (G-N) standard at the same time.
