I've got my fingers crossed for the 3870X2 card. I sure hope ATi/AMD can breath life back into their video cards. That would be quad GPU crossfire gaming. We all best pray for good drivers...the drivers will be key.
Umm...I myself will probably have to upgrade to a bigger power supply too. The 550w isn't going to cut it if I go with these cards.

This is more of a project then a build. I figured the 9650 will be one of the best cpus of 2008 so I might as well get it.
Anyways im thinking about a 3rd water loop for the north bridge mosfets and maybe memory. Just a small cheapo (but decent) loop. And Trying to decide on a touchscreen. I want the front of the case to be clean. Im going to take off all the drive covers and mesh it up with a touchscreen or normal lcd in the middle to display voltage and temps. And I will be sure to take LOTS of pictures as I got myself a new camera. (nothing special) Ill also take benchmarks between the x38 and P35 chipset with the Q9650 on water. Stay tunned Ill be doing allot of updates as stuff starts showing up.

Well I thought I would put my QX9650 in my P35 board to test things out but my board dosnt like it at all. Even after the bios update (which supports the chip) I get a stupid CMOS checksum bad error and must use defaults (being 6 milti 200mhz = 1200mhz
So waiting for the new board... I did take one or two pics for ya tho. Red = Old / Blue = New 12GB of RAM all togeather. ![]() ![]()

My second water loop came today. I went with a 120.2 rad because I cant fit a 120.3 the way I want to do it. All im waiting on now is for the motherboard to get here and the 3870X2's to release.
![]() ![]() ![]() Starting the display mount. ![]() ![]() I cant find all my tools so thats as far as I got.
