Default Monitor!!! :) question

Ok .. question I have a dell 2407WFP right now .. and was thinking of adding another 24inch dell for more screen real estate. Logically thinking I can

A. Buy the E248WFP which is the older 24inch monitor with only 1000:1 contrast ratio Costing $350.00. If I did this do you think the 2407 would completely out shine the monitor that will sit right next to it.

B. Sell the 2407 and get the old edition 30inch. Which is $900.00

I use my computer more for work then gaming ..

Get another identical monitor. Maybe it's just me, but having the colors off even the slightest bit drives my insane.

You'd also have to make sure they haven't switched panel manufacturers and type, etc. It's a pain, but it's the way to go. You might even be able to get one used if you match up version numbers.
