Unhappy Sound driver needed for laptop

I have a NVidia sound card : STAC92xx Analog (hw:0,0)
on an AMD Turion64X2 system. (Gateway laptop)
nVidia Corporation MCP51 High Definition Audio (rev a2)

Am using Mepis 7 Linux.
Problem: Sound works (due to ALSA), but can't record.

Tried Gateway, but they only have Vista drivers.
Where can I get Nvidia's drivers?

Thanks
