This is probably the 50th time this has been posted in the past 5 years.

First time I've actually seen a price on it though. $462 is insane for a keyboard but I'm a little surprised that they aren't charging over a thousand for this thing.

why would you want to look at your keys anyway? Thats what the monitor is for.

I think the design looks much prettier than the concepts from a few years back AFAI remember.

Still I can't see myself going for something like this unless it becomes a standard on all keyboards. I just don't see the big advantage.

uh, not all of the keys are OLED for that price... you have to buy the keys seperately.

Nowhere on the new product page they state such a thing. In fact, they explicitly say "Each of the 113 displays: technology OLED"...

It looks like they finally got some cheap (that is, cheap compared to the old prices) OLEDs to use...

it only comes with the spacebar it looks like, others have to be purchased seperately. I think it's around $1500 for a fully loaded keyboard.

The thing costs over $1500 if you want all OLED keys.

I actually saw a mini OLED keyboard at performance-pcs.com

It's only has 3 buttons on it and costs $130. It would be a great for looks but that's about it.

Yeah that was the first nail in the Optimus Maximus' coffin. They released something with 3 buttons and charged well over what most people would spend on a full keyboard... how could they possibly make their keyboard worth buying?

This is one technology that is going to take a long time to reach the masses, if it ever does.

My fault, I didn't think of looking at the other pages, mainly because it states what I reported on the dman product page. Misleading advertising anyone ?
