My Dell 24'' just freaked out.
I have this REALLY annoying black line that goes all the way across the screen. It starts at about an inch off the bottom. WTF?! What should I do? |

I would first make sure it's the monitor and not the video card. Have you tried plugging the monitor into another source? OR plugging a different monitor into your video card?
If it is the monitor, is it still under warranty?

Well its the monitor for sure.
I called Dell's return specialists number and i was shocked at how good they are! Their customer service is top notch. I should be getting my new monitor in a day or two here, then I just ship this one back =] |

Yeah, I've heard great things about dell's support. Fortunately I've haven't had to use it yet.

Cross-shipping is the best way to deal with failures IMO. A recent experience would be our dealings with EA's shoddy Rock Band guitars. Had a new one within one or two business days.
