Default Did I just increase the life of my CPU?

Stock intel fan for my Q6600 (when overclocked 5%) had 55 Celcius idle.

My new Zalman 9700 (when overclocked 15%) now has 42 Celcius idle.

By upgrading to a Zalman 9700 I've not only overclocked just fine even more, but I'm even COOLER than before.

Does that mean that my CPU will live longer since it's even less Celsius? Or does overclocking nevertheless decrease the life?

I knew a man once who said, "Death smiles at us all. All a man can do is smile back".

Ultimately, we're all dead men. Sadly, we cannot choose how but, what we can decide is how we meet that end, in order that we are remembered, as men.
