I love good RTS games, unfortunately never played homeworld, never played civ4 (it confused me), loved the Decent Freespace series, it looks like I might give this one a shot sometime in the near future

I've only played a couple of times... it's pretty fun but I am having trouble getting going on techs and proper ship production. Kind of a steep learning curve once you've done the tutorials. The diplomacy screens are a complete mystery to me still... why the hell are other races asking me to do tasks for them? WTF? Do it yerself!

Yeah, that's why I never bought it... I like singleplayer. It's too bad because it looks so amazing.

Someone told me once that one of the coming $10 DLCs adds a campaign, but I don't know how right he was.
