I was wondering the same thing in this thread:
http://www.nvnews.net/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=107259

I have 1gb x 2 in a low latency DDR400 set that have been great. Just as good or better than Corsair.

I have 2 sets of DDR400 on my old rig. Very good stuff. Never had a hiccup with it.

I've never tried their DDR2 or 3 chips though.

brand doesn't matter, all it matters is what chips it has

I just ordered these from Newegg... the exact same ones. I was having major issues with the G.Skill, so I RMA'd them and got these instead. They will arrive today (probably this afternoon). I'll let you know what I think of them.

I had borrowed a friends 2GB set (2x 1GB), with the exact same timings (I think they are the same chips) and they worked perfectly. That's how I figured out that the G.Skill were bad. But I was sure happy with my friends, that's why I ordered the 4GB set.

I use to buy only Patriot... but I'm kinda' hooked on G.Skill now.

Patriot is a great brand. I'd not hesitate to buy thier RAM if the price was right.
