Default The Sims 3 2009

http://thesims3.ea.com/screens.php

It's on it's way quicker than I thought. Looks like the same engine, with a few tweak. Most of the new stuff is the routines behind the scenes that control Sim behaviour it seems.

Guess they can't push the requirements too high, otherwise they'd loose most of their audience.

Meh.
If you ask me it's like milking a dead cow, you only get sour milk.

Same thing all over again, a basic game and 20+ expansion packs for the next 5 years adding minor changes they could have just added in the first release.

Lucky for EA that kids dont see it this way lol

I'd rather a proper simcity sequel.

Eh, I've tried about 4 different sims games and they're all the same it seems. Same as sim city... if you've played one, you've played them all.

i built a couple of megopolises on the NES original sim city, got my mario statue and called it a day.

The Sims 1 and The Sims 2 had less time in between than The Sims 2 and The Sims 3.

Graphics didnt take near as much a leap in sims3 as sims 2 did. And yea, considering how much money on the expansions they make, Sim has a more questionable userbase then WoW does. Atleast WoW has human interaction. ^^ Sims is all about living with an AI.

I have a free sub to Games for Windows magazine.

Sounds like they're scaling the complexity down as much as they're adding stuff. I think I read that there won't even be a 'bathroom meter' anymore, which leads me to wonder if you even have to build one anymore.

And yes, the graphics jump is pretty disappointing.
