The Asian version is in English! You can actually change the language to whichever you want of the supported ones(only voice though :-/)

Lost Odyssey has an Asian version released (a few months?) later, that have the English and Japanese voices, apparently Korean too. It comes with Chinese and English subtitles.

It won't work with a NA 360, only PAL and NSTC-J (Japan). So you'll have to wait a few days regardless.

So how much of the quest dialogues are spoken? I don't mind these games except for all the text. When I'm in my couch I want to be read to.

A fair amount of reading is required to really get the most out of the game. While a lot of the main story elements are acted out, there's more reading than most JRPGs too. There are even visual novel elements, if you know what they are.
