Default xvideo contrast issue

Hi all,

I reported the following bug, about my XV output always being black (no image) :

<<
I first realized that all the application using the XV output worked
only one time at startup.

After, all I could get was a black screen, with no picture, for instance
with a video player like Totem or VLC.

Finally, after many tries, it seems to be related to the contrast
setting of the card.

For some reason, the contrast appears to be always resetted to 0, which
causes the black screen.

While the video player is running, if I play with the contrast
parameter, the images show up. It is like the contrast setting is
updated by doing it.

But, if I close the video-player and open it again, the setting is lost
with again a black screen.

If I re-open nvidia-setting, the contrast indeed shows 0.

This is pretty annoying, and so far the only usable workaround is to not
use the XVideo output.

I attach the log file which gives you the details of my configuration.
>>

My card is a Quadro NVS 140M one, and I use the proprietary driver (x86_64 169.09).

So, if anyone has a workaround, thanks in advance.

Default Re: xvideo contrast issue

SOLVED :

This was just a setting in the display preferences of Totem that overwrite the whole XVideo setting.
I just need to set the contrast to a normal value.

Shame on me.
