Well i broke the 13k mark finally yesterday and ended up at 13 and some change. I just saw in my bios that it has a option to change memory timings to "aggressive"...I changed it to that and that boosted me up another 400 points!
Looks like my next goal has to be 14k now..lol 9500 128 non-pro modded to a 9500pro 360/303 stock cooling

Not sure why, but I've never been able to get over about 14,100 marks with my system (see sig). 3dmark2001 just doesn't appear to like my PC for some reason.

Rip,
Do your games play smoothly enough for you? I would wager that they play pretty well. That is on really nice sounding rig you have there from your specs. ![]()

Thanks for the compliment.
Games play smooth enough for me. Splinter Cell runs excellent @ 1600x1200 and looks sweet to boot. Unreal 2 runs well also. So I'm overall a happy camper. Which is why I don't obsess over the slightly lower than expected 3dmark results. It's just something I'd like to clear up if I could.. But it's not keeping me up at nights, no. ![]() Perhaps when ATI finally gets the next Catalyst out, with the 9700 pro performance improvements, it'll bench a little better. |
