startx show me garbage code at screen
I have reinstalled both the driver and RH9 several times,but the driver still does not work and I can not start xwindows.My project does need openGL to work,who can help me?thanks!
CPU:Athlon 2400+ mainboard:EPOX nforce2 without graphic video card:Gforce 3 Ti 500 OS:RH9 video driver version:1.0-4349 video bios:default following is the log file generated with command startx -- -logverbose 5 |

I can not get into xwindows and do not know the version of video card
 the driver in RH9 works well but I can not use openGL,so I install the new driver released by nvidia Last edited by photofox; 04-21-03 at 06:24 AM. |

i mean ur mobo's BIOS, not ur VGA's BIOS

But my video card works well when using the default driver provided by RH9??It is the upgrade of the driver cause the problem.
what's mobo? mobile? |

Motherboard.
Epox 8RDA+ (at least; perhaps other Epox motherboards) BIOSes newer than 3129 all have this problem with the nVidia drivers. You don't see it with the default RH driver because the default RH driver does not try to access the video hardware nearly as much as the 3D accelerated one does.

 ,I will try to downgrade my biosoh, I have spent two days on this driver and will still get lost without your helps my motherboard is Epox 8RDA with C1 support Last edited by photofox; 04-22-03 at 02:46 AM. |
