If those are in-game, then SWEEET! I'd say that'd floor Crysis as far as realism goes. I do like how it has that old VHS look to it, makes it feel like you're playing the movie or what not.

Yeah I call foul, no way those are in-game. When I saw the first pic I actually thought it might've been some scene I missed from Aliens. But just look at how there are no clipped wall/model/gun textures, everything is perfectly rounded, no jaggies.

I hate the VHS snow effect, if they have that throughout the game I will be pissed. They did redo Aliens on DVD and it doesn't look like old 80's VHS crap! :P

I dunno... I think it might be a bad idea to go to the planet's surface if we're not getting any readings... what do you guys think?

Look at that alien pod, the thing those "head crabs" are birthed out of. It surely looks ingame, atleast there it does. It is far from perfectly rounded and has the typical "boxy-curves" that games have.

I sure hope those are in-game.

Those are all infact image scans from this months issue of Game Informer! Because they look exactly like what's in my issue. Look how off the color is in each photo. Those are image scans trust me.
After reading the entire story...Gearbox didn't say anything about if the pictures were in-game or not. Infact, some of the images look to be paintings with digital editing.

Look at the gloss from the image scan and the folding in the middle.......LMAO! You all know how they hyped all the graphics in Crysis with eye-candy images that didn't even look like that of the game so this could very well be another rinse and repeat.

Wasn't those screens from the PS2 version that was announced YEARS ago, but it was canned?

I can't remember what they looked like then, but I remember being gobsmacked and thinking "bull****".
