Tried! Won't boot into windows. Tried same settings on 1510 fsb (3.4 GHz), booted into windows but bluescreened. So far only get to 3.2 stable with your settings. I have a pretty good setup, only weakpoint may be the memory

Q6600 C2Q G0-stepping
Tuniq Tower 120
1 x 2GB TakeMS PC6400 DDR2
P7N SLI Platinum
2 x NX8800GT OC 512MB
650w Cooler Master Extreme Power
Antec Spotcool blowing directly onto the NB + memory

Is the memory bottlenecking my oc? From stories I heard, should be able to get much better OC results!

Well, seems like I found a gap at fsb 1516 with the same setting you got except the vcore @ 1.42 (+0.2250) Prime stable for an hour now load temp 66! BUT, I get some errors during internet and games and stuff?! And still random reboot sometimes, so isn't stable yet...

The P7N is extremely picky at FSB speeds. Not every CPU or mobo is a winner, sometimes you gotta experiment with different settings. Cooling is also a prime factor when overclocking a CPU.

Well, temp is not an issue here! The last attempt turns out to be false hope... 3.4 is still not stable! I am gonna change my ram to 2 sticks of 1 GB OCZ platinum PC6400 tomorrow or the day after, hope will have more luck than!

If you have the FSB setting at 1400, jump to 1475 or 1500 with a little bump to the voltage. 1400 is an FSB hole.

Any comparison one can draw between this board and something like the asus P5K premium besides the obvious SLI benefit of the P7N?

I'm looking to get a new sub $200 mobo, don't care about on board sound, want to retain DDR2 so DDR3 boards arent in the picture and I also only need 1 video card right now and really have no plans to SLI or crossfire.

Does the P7N support DDR 1066 ram or is it DDR2 800 only?

I also want to keep my E6600 for a while and eventually migrate up to the E8400 once they get in that $175 price range.

The board supports a minimum of DDR2 667.

oh no I was basically getting at asking if it'd work with my 1066 ram. The newegg specs said the standard memory was ddr 800. I was sort of assuming that if it supported a 1333 FSB, it'd have to at least support 1066 ram.

DDR2 800 is the memory standard. Just about everyone uses it, so they say it supports it.. But yes, it will support 1066 speed RAM.
