AnyDVD HD has build in UDF reader that is used during the ripping process.

You won't see files in explorer, but there is no point in seeing files on HD-DVD or BD in explorer since they are copy protected, and you can't do anything with them.

AnyDVD HD takes care of that.

Thanks. I have AndDVD HD as I mentioned, and an LG reader/burner on the way from newegg, so it sounds like I will be set. I really wanted to do two things with it:

1. rip blu-ray movies to my hard disk, for editing or frame capture
2. write data back-up disks.
