What is the absolute minimum cpu required for Blu-Ray playback in a HDCP with a compliant graphics card.
I feel my e6400 would be wasted.

You can playback a BD with almost 0 CPU if you have a good VP2/3 video card. Yes, a 8800GT supports VP2 and if you get a Cyberlink player that supports PurevideoHD you are set. Don't worry about the CPU at all.

Yeah, I get about 3-4% CPU usage playing BluRay's. My works PC with it's Radeon 7000 series and P4 has about 70% usage just with online HD stuff.

CPU usage also will depend on codec used, MPEG2 Blu-ray uses less CPU then VC1

What are the chances with an 800mhz PIII and a pci slot 8500gt http://www.sparkle.com.tw/News/SP85_...3_PCI_EN1.html or an ati 2400HD thing.
This old article sort of answers my original question http://www.hometheatermag.com/gearworks/806gear/
