My load temperatures are 55c and the reason I haven't overclocked more is because I think above that might be too high... am I wrong?
Like what's your highest comfortable temps? (q6600)

What are you measuring the temps with? What are you using to load your CPU?
If I use the latest Prime95 to load the CPU and measure with Everest. Personally, I would start worrying if it went higher than 60C while running that test. But some people aren't bothered till closer to 70C. It depends on your willingness to push it I guess.

Yeah, I was referring to Tjunction, thanks for clarifying that. Since I run FaH my load is at 100% 24/7, so that leads me to not want to push the temps up too high.

I've been running mine since release with a load of about 65c (B3@1.4v). I've noticed no instability or other issues because of it

egh I can hit 4.2Ghz @ 1.7v and still be safe at 70c
just keep pushing!

I will have that CPU sold by then end of the year I imagine. and the next person will probably keep it at stock clocks and get another few years out of it. I plan on running it faster with more voltage with phase cooling later this year, I do currently have it @ 3.8Ghz with 1.4v but only because of temps, I would prefer with those volts (1.7) to keep the temps under 60c IMHO if you are within all of Intel specs then you are fine. I am sure that they put safety margins in their CPU specs. You will never in any application stress your CPU as much as Prime95, even when i am rendering with 100% CPU load its 10c cooler than prime.
