High pitched alarm on gf's craptop

wtf is that all about? I thought it was my smoke alarm.

Its like a no power graphics card alarm.

Any ideas?

Edit:the battery is not at fault.

More edit:- Turned off "Microphone Boost" All better.

That was about 125db coming out of the mic, Would make a good car alarm.
