Default NVIDIA TNT2 - Switch from Monitor to TV and back???

Hi,
I have recently bought a cheap TNT2 32MB with TV-out.
When installed under Windows, I'm able to switch from monitor-mode to tv-mode and back. Can this be done in Linux? If so, how?
I've read a lot of threads dealing with twinview, but it seems that my card doesn't support twinview... nor do I need it. Can anyone help me and tell me which parms do I have to add to my xf86config?
I have also read that it's possible to boot on TV-only but I don't want to do that because the TV attached to the TNT2 is in another room and away from the computer. I just want to fire up my xine (or similar) and watch my films via TV-out, that's all.

Greets
Merlin
