Default Modeline tool for windows (related to Linux)

My XP install works great with my LCD panel and I can get Linux working but I get distortion on the very bottom of the screen. A single line that is annoying.

Is there some tool for Windows that will extract the current modeline?

Use gtf: http://gtf.sf.net (it was made by an Nvidia guy based on Vesa specs).

I think he asked for a way to extract the settings on his Windows XP box as a modeline for use with Linux, not a modeline calculator.

Within the NVIDIA control panel -> display -> custom configuration -> timings -> edit -> advanced (well, more or less you will find it), there are all the relevant timing information from which you could extract the current Windows modeline.

Not really obvious, but possible.

Hope this helps.

bye,
