Nintendo Announces Release Date for Mario Kart Wii
By Susan Arendt March 12, 2008 | 11:38:15 AMCategories: Console Games
Spring is a time of flowers, of lightly falling rain, and this year, thanks to Nintendo, a time to invite your friends to eat your dust in Mario Kart Wii, which is scheduled for an April 27th release.

Mario Kart Wii might not have voice chat, or even particularly robust text chat, but it does let you use your Mii to race against Mario, Yoshi, and the rest of the gang on 16 new courses and 16 classic courses from previous Mario Kart games, so it should still be pretty fantastic.

In honor of the game's release, the Mario Kart Wii channel will be added to the Wii Menu, which will allow players to compete in tournaments, check worldwide rankings, download ghost data, and most importantly, see when their friends are playing.

Mark your calendars, folks.

Yeah...N64 Kart was awesome, but the cube version wasn't as good imo. I hope this one is as good or better than the N64 Version...

I played it so much it became second nature.

Wario Stadium had that easy wall jump right at the beginning.

Eventually we would play time trials over and over shaving thousandths of a second off and getting excited about it. ****ing elk college.

We always just raced 4 player head to head with a few ground rules (no shortcuts, and we had to TRY to not use lighening if people were going over a jump (specifically in Wario Stadium)...Man, we played hours and hours on end...Ahhhhh...Teh good old dayz...
