64 Bits leads by 21% on GPU and 38% on CPU test!

Found this on LegionHardware but had to check by myself...

Game consumes about 1300MB when running on 64 bits and 950MB on 32.

Again, that reviewer is stupid. The 32bit version is slower because it's not being run in its native environment. Try running the 32bit exe in an actual 32bit installation of Vista, there is no difference vs 64bit, and the 32bit is actually a bit faster...

I'm sure someone else can do it, running Vista 64bit here. Sorry.

If that where the case, all 32-bit games would be much slower on 64-bit Vista compared to 32-bit Vista.

I use to dual boot x86 and x64 Vista and had Crysis installed under both configurations. I never tried running the game in DX9 but I did bench it under both configs in DX10 and didn't appreciate any difference. If anything it performed slightly better in x86.

Sadly there is no support for Punkbuster on 64 executable... :/

Later i'll try to run on higher resolutions...

I'm talking only about Crysis here, and that is definitely the case. I've replicated the results on my system when I had Vista 32 installed as well, and other reviewers and testers confirmed what I said. That site is the only one showing the 64bit being faster, and that's because they're testing the 32bit exe in Vista 64...

Lfctony,

That's weird... some get same results as i did, others same as yours... the fact is, here, on my station, 64 performs better now that i'm running Vista 64...
