Default Re: Finally

I plan on building a new rig consisting of an E8400 or possibly an E8500(pending price and availability next month) and was planning on going with the Zalman 9700led. Anyone not recomend going with that 1? I have been using Zalman coolers for a long time now and never had a problem. I know the thermal right 120 is the best but for reaching 3.6-3.8 ish do you guys think this isn't the best bet or what? Oh and my case air flow is going to rock as I always make sure of that in my builds, going with a kick ass Stacker830se with the 1000w power supply this time around.

*P.S. Sorry for hijacking your thead but i had to ask*

People are reaching 4.0 with the stock cooler, so the Zalman should provide you with reasonable temps at 3.8.

Well wow, I didn't realize people were hitting 4ghz on air using the stock cooling.

update on my HSF. I am sticking with this Big Typhoon for now. Its incredibly quiet and actually cools very very well. I'm happy with it.

/will say though, that this Big Typhoon is by FAR the biggest pain in the ass HSF I have ever installed and i've installed quite a few. Still worth it though.
