info: 1.0-4349 MX440SE Redhat 8.0 AthlonXP2400+ nforce2 the driver always detect my card as MX440 and can't start X. |

Well... hmm.
It's not what I thought it was, I can say that much. Unfortunately, that doesn't help you at all. ![]() You've got an nForce2 chipset... Are you using Option "NvAGP" "1" in your config file Device section? It doesn't look like it from the log, and you can't use agpgart (the default) with an nForce chipset. Yeah, I just looked at the config file again -- you need to add that Option line to it. Edit: You might want to go with driver 1.0-4363 instead of 1.0-4349, too -- 4363 has a bunch of bugfixes (issues people were having with 4349) in it.
