I picked up a copy and started playing. This is the best "quality" release I've seen in months. I'm not seeing any bugs and it plays super fast on my rig fully maxed out. The gameplay is well balanced too.

I actually think the AI is about right. True that walking slow or riding the horse slowly conceals the character but he is wearing a hood so I doubt many can see his face. Seems fairly realistic...at least enough for the game.

I was a little surprised about how the game is presented though, with the character actually being from present day and having his ancestors memory read and all. Thats a little weird.

Overall this is a quality game that is about an 8.5 on my scale.

hehe Yeah I was also blown away at first, but that goes away as you play the real missions.
Lemme guess, those collectables still dont give anything (in form of unlockables and such) ?

It does have a very nice polish to it. Especially how it handles the menus. It really hold you in, that's why any of the little things that seem odd, or out of place can really blow it. Bit of a Catch 22.

AC wasn't all that great. PC gamers, let us know what you think about the fun factor.

Shadows are softer on DX10, AFAIK that's the only difference. Oh, and Ubisoft says the game will be faster on DX10, and will be even faster with newer drivers
