Ahhh of course. Even simpler.

On another note I've been rooting around in the file structure to try to see what kinds of fun things you can change. There's not much there unless somebody can figure out how to get into ".forge" files...

Of course, disabling the intro movies and disclaimers is a must. Just create a folder and name it "novids" or whatever and stick those pesky bink files in there.

I find the 360 controller very confortable for this kind of games, I'm playing with it. Luckily mine does not have problems with thumbsticks and dead zone

I'm actually glad to hear there is a port that is actually done well. UBI might be getting smarter after all, time will tell.

I have a question.....we all know that this game gets kind of dull and repetitive after a few hours or so....

what is the likelihood of some sort of mod being made to make this game a bit more substantial and more interesting in later parts of the game??

This game is from the same studio that did Prince of Persia Sands of Time trilogy and I think the game will evolve in a similar way. This first game has a very simple combat system, just like Sands of Time. However Warrior Within and The Two Thrones had a very complex and fun combat system with all kind of combos. But there is one difference, Sands of Time was great all the time, it didn't feel repetitive.

I see Assassin's Creed as the very first experiment with the engine, and I'm sure the next two (it's a trilogy) will raise the bar and offer more variety than "saving citizens" over and over

Blows the 360 version away. I have both. It runs faster looks WAY WAY better with high res textures and Supersample aa with nhancer set to 8xs combined mode there is no flicker or shimmering at all however those modes only work in dx9. I had that dx9 blocky issue too. Changed res from 1240x700 (custom dlp hdtv thing) to 1280x720 (which gives a tad overscan) and it fixed it. Runs average of 45-60 fps for me at 1280x720 Nhancer overriding my AA to combined mode 8xs with 16xaf. Using a 360 controller and it feels the same but responds faster.

That jack ass that was trolling and talking about spending so much money on a pc is only sad because his mommy wont buy him one.. I cant think of too many rational adults that would say some of the crap he spouts off. Must be some kid with no cash and hates seeing those of us with jobs having a better gaming experience. Poor wittle baby.

I've played both versions of AC. 360 & PC.

- PC version has better graphics. More resolution, more crisppy, more AA, more AF and more framerate.
360 only has AA2x and NO-AF. And have 30 fps locked.
- PC version has new content. 4 new tipe secondary missions.
- PC version has two differnt control systems: keyb/mouse (that plays suberb) and gamepad.
- PC version is cheaper.
- PC version loads faster (15 secs. first load on 360. 4 secs. first load on my PC).
- PC version can have Vsync activated. 360 have Vsync off.

PC version Wins.

Will you please go back to the 25 screenshots I posted and count how many of them are in the 20's? And as I said that's with higher res textures, higher resolution, AF, significantly higher AA, higher res shadows, vsync ON, and no stuttering due to asset streaming...It's quite a difference.

The 360 and PS3 versions were stunning and certainly show that each system can produce excellent graphics. Nevertheless, in every cross platform title I've owned the graphical quality has been significantly higher on my PC. There's just simply no question about it. Does it justify the cost? That question is simply too subjective to make a generalized claim about it because It ends up boiling down to what my preference is.

I'm not and have never claimed the 360 or PS3 "suxors" or are lame. It's simply a fact that a well equiped PC produces superior graphics. The only point that's debatable is cost and as I said that's a question that can only be tackled by individuals.

Can't get any AA here too and SLI doesn't seem to work with my 9800GX2

I need a **** filter....

I tried a lower res and every thing below 1600x1024 let you choose AA, wtf ?
Is there a way to enter the ini manually?

Is there a recommended SLI mode? Renaming to COJdx10 does nothing, the game is just a noth slower the a 8800Ultra.
