Quick LCD height question...

I have 226BW (22' 16:10 TN panel) and noticed how unregular brightnes is depending on how high or low I have my head.

As you can see I seat near display.Also I am always trying to have my head situated in front of centre of lcd, but with every move(in darker games) I can see black colour changes.
Should I just set my screen lower? Or will it be too bright then?
I am considering removing that white basis (the one with volume mixer)
ps. I dont want to raise my chair becouse its uncomfortable and unstable then

Yeah I known its waste of bandwich for this kind of crap but I am too lazy too try

I have the same thing with my 24", your best bet would be to make it so that you are looking directly at it (raise or lower it to be even with your head)

What H4yd3n said. I have the same monitor, it seems much more sensitive to height/angle changes than my 2405 was.

yeah Its just hard to look directly at it and comfortable at same time :\
I am considering lowering it but for higher brightness

TN panels generally have very poor vertical viewing angles, particularly from the bottom. I try to make sure my TN panel is at least at my eye level if not below.
