here's my new setup, with a evga 9800GTX. this card is absolutely gigantic. it's inside an Antec P182 case (power supply is at the bottom out of sight). the card totally blocks out 4 sata ports so i had to use the L shaped connector ends.
haven't run any benchmarks yet except for Crysis, which is giving me an average of 50 fps in both timedemos @ 1920x1200 Medium settings. tried a couple other games just for kicks, like UT3 and Company of Heroes...all at 1920x1200 maxed out settings...completly smooth gameplay...this card is really amazing from my limited experience with it. ![]()

I just ordered one 2 days ago for 249$ + free shipping (promo) with my new system but it's only temporary as i'm going to use the eVga step up program to get a GTX 260 as soon as they are out so i will own the 9800GTX for about 2 weeks lol.
Yeah i could have waited for the GTX 260 to order the system but i need to have a PC this week so. ![]() |

Well i changed my mind
The 200$ or so i would have to pay to step up to the GTX 260 just ain't going to be worth it after looking at the benchs on Anandtech. Yes the GTX 260 perform better at higher resolutions but i game at 1650 x 1080 and the 5-7 FPS difference between the 9800GTX and the GTX260 in most games just ain't worth the 200$ imho. |

Picked up a BFG 9800GTX OC today and got it installed. Barely and I mean barely fit into my case! Good thing the two PCI-E connectors go on the side or I don't think I would have been able to make it fit. Whew! Anyways, using those 177.39 drivers with the PhysX drivers and working great so far! Huge card, but mighty sexy!

Welcome to the club! I'm debating on getting another BFG 9800 GTX, getting a 9800 GX2, or the ATI 4870. Adding another 9800 GTX would appear to be the cheapest upgrade at first until I noticed that my PSU probably doesn't have enough connections.

I recently was sent 55 NM 9800GTX + reference models. Have been working on an SLIZONE preview of them . Just like the standard 65 NM I have always liked the cooler for the 9800GTX series. But it sure does let these 55 NM cards go pretty high. I cant believe the OC I got. I came sooo close to 2 Ghz shader clock on them.
