Rainbow Six Vegas 2 for PC - Page 10

Does anyone else have this problem? Whenever i die and click continue checkpoint, the screen goes black and doesnt load anything at all. Then suddenly i hear the windows beep sound when you get a pop up box thing. But nothing appears, even when i ctrl alt delete all i see is my cursor but still a black screen. The only way out of it is to reboot my pc. And it happens at random, but usually when i get killed in a dumb way like because i got stuck due to bugs or something. Already running the 1.01 patch.

Any way around this? Its friggin annoying.

omfg, i just checked and i got like 3 of those dump files in my binaries folder. Looks like there isnt any solution to the general protection error thing though... Guess we'll have to wait for patch 2?

No errors here of any shape or form... one of the most polished games I have played in a while.

Only let down is you cant use your custom (own) face in MP.

Well I got it... played it to Act 3... scene... something. Good game... but for some reason I CANNOT play online... forwarded the right ports and everything... it just refuses to let me play

Make sure your PC's region is United States (or whatever)... I know some people claimed that fixed their issues.

Also the network at Ubi has been down a couple of times this week and no one could sign on.

Well I can sign on and get to the server browser... but I try to join a game, it loads, then the screen goes black and then it goes back to loading screens and takes me right back to the lobby and says the game disconnected me... really annoying me

You replace all the bink videos in the KellerGame\Startup folder with blank ones just like in crysis and several other games.
