Hello,
At work I have an emperor linux laptop (Dell D830) with an nVidia Quadro 140M running Fedora 8. When I connect to one of the overhead projectors and try the Fn-F8 combo to toggle between the three states of LCD -> LCD/CRT -> CRT it only seems to have the first and the last state (i.e. only displays on the laptop lcd or only on the overhead) which makes it rather challenging to give a presentation. My co-worker has a very similar D830 (also configured by emperor linux) which works. Same video, same driver version. The major difference is he is running FC7 on his laptop instead of FC8. Emperor tech support said this keystroke was just passed to the hardware and didn't offer any other suggestions so I thought I would post in this forum after searching and reading a number of posts that seem to indicate that this should work. [scottra@skylab]~% uname -a Linux skylab 2.6.22.1.emp11 #1 SMP PREEMPT Thu Jan 31 17:35:27 EST 2008 x86_64 x86_64 x86_64 GNU/Linux [scottra@skylab]~% cat /etc/redhat-release Fedora release 8 (Werewolf) [scottra@skylab]~% /sbin/lspci |grep -i nvidia 01:00.0 VGA compatible controller: nVidia Corporation Quadro NVS 140M (rev a1) According to nvidia-bug-report.sh and the nvidia-xconfig program I have version 169.07 of the nVidia driver. Does anyone have any suggestions? cheers, scott See attached nvidia-bug-report.log Last edited by waspswarm; 04-12-08 at 01:47 AM. Reason: attach nvidia-bug-report.log |
