Band of Brothers coming to Blu-ray in 2008

Wow, that's a lot sooner than I expected. I'm excited!

Awesome. I love BOB and I'm actually reading the book right now. Amazing how close they came to the book in nearly every instance so far.

Still don't know if I should keep my tin set of sell in in anticipation of this. I know HBO will rape us with this set.

I've never seen this, but plenty of people rave about it...I suppose I will grab it when it tips up on BR...

If you like Saving Private Ryan, you'll love Band of Brothers. It's extremely well filmed and the stories' excellent also can be pretty emotional (especially at beginning of episodes where old veterans talk about their experiences). It's down to all details and seems very real and personal.

Steven Spielberg and Tom Hanks are executive producers. Tom Hanks wrote one and directed other episodes.

Also it's pronounced BD, not BR.
