I've never had Vista freak out because of low memory with either Crysis or HL2 CM7.

I think its just me ,When it gets to about 3.7gb

HL when it loads

Its very rare but it happens.

Waste of money, unless you use specifc applications that use a allot of memory, and even 2GB is more then enough for the latest games, even in vista.

You not notice any performance gains if thats what your asking. I DDR2 800mhz ram at 4 4 4 12 and I can overclock it to 1066 with 5 5 5 12.

If anything I think the ram is faster at 800mhz due to the lower timings.

You won't notice an real difference between the two unless you’re running synthetic benchmarks designed to measure memory performance, in real situations be it games or general applications the benefits are nil to very small.

im pretty sure that Vista caches a lot (even with a lot of those features like superfetch turned off) and releases the cached info when it needs space.
