Jesus. I don't suppose it occured to you to ask one of the yanks here to buy you an OEM copy and just send it through the post (at a saving of about 1200SEK), did it?

Picked up an OEM copy of Vista HP64 the other week for < £50. Why the hell anyone would pay for a retail copy is beyond me.

well i got it fo around what a OEM copy costs of VIsta Ultimate 64-bit in Sweden

some may be cheaper than others.

This is a Swedish OEM of vista Ultimate x64 1.695:-
vista ultimate 32 1.895:-

so you see me paying 1625 for a retail ultimate with 32 and 64 in the same dvd is not so bad as the retail si almost 5000SEK

well done is done and retail do have better support i´ve heard

but still shall be interesting to test Vista now and learn it and it´s tricks and stuff

do i need any books about vista or is it learn as i go?

You'll figure it out. It has a lot of stuff, and it may be annoying at first.

Nah man, no books. Microsoft spent seven long years changing things around in Vista - now, where's your spirit of adventure?

Grey, why do you think i bought yours and Gib's copies? It goes for like $500 AUD here, and that's just home premium.

I've been using Vista for over a year now, and i haven't looked back since. I seriously love it so much more than XP, because i've had to fix Vista far less than XP, even with all the broken drivers in the early stages of it's life.

The only reason I am buying Vista is for DX10 support.

Think twice. Every game I own is slower in DX10. I run them all in DX9, cause yes they are faster
