Default patched 169.12 driver under 2.6.25 long latency before gdm

Hi,
hardware: MCP61
kernel: Linux 2.6.25
driveratched 169.12 and 173.08

Problem:If I log out under gnome, there is a long latency from a bare X(where a "X" mouse pointer show up) before reentering GDM.
as for 2.6.24 kernel, there is no such problem. Would someone help to fix the bug? Thanks in advance!

oops, it may be xorg's problem. I tried the vesa driver, prolbem is the same.

Xorg.0.log says

[config/hal] couldn't initialise context: (null) ((null))

anybody knows what's the problem. thanks
