Default FX5200 doesn't honor aspect-ratio scaling with 1vx.yz drivers

Hi,

The following has been bothering me for a while. My FX5200 doesn't honor the option:

Code:
Option "FlatPanelProperties" "DFP-0: Scaling = aspect-scaled"
when using new drivers series (>= 1vx.yz., for example 169.12).

In fact, it doesn't matter which parameter is used with 'Scaling'. The picture is always stretched. Still, aspect ratio scaling works with 96.vx,yz-driver series, for example with 96.43.05.

Also, nvidia-settings shows that my DFP's - LG204WT - native resolution is 640x480 even though it is 1680x1050. And that resolution isn't detected at all if I don't use these options in xorg.conf:

In Monitors section:

Code:
Modeline "1680x1050_60" 119.00 1680 1728 1760 1840 1050 1053 1059 1080 +HSync +Vsync
Modeline...// other 16:10, 16:9, 5:4 and 4:3 modelines.
and in Device section:

Code:
Option "ExactModeTimingsDVI"
Option "ModeValidation" "DFP-0: NoEdidModes, NoVesaModes, NoXServerModes, NoPredefinedModes"
Seems like a bug to me.
