apparently an old rule ,not sure if its still true, or indeed if it was ever true.

Maybe just applied to DDR???

Something like if you have the tras too low it splits the cycles or some such

Ok, I wasn't sure. I'm not the most knowledgeable person out there with hardware so some basic rules just fly right by me...

I am putting these X2 in my new build, same chips as the redline series.

Never seen a bad review on them as well.

That looks exactly like what I have but for the timings and a bit lower voltage.

I'm running my G.Skill @ 4-4-4-12, it's rated at 5-5-5-15. i have dropped it down to 3-3-3-9 before. It was quick and responsive, but not as stable as i'd like.

Nice - I'm doing a good deal of reading on the Mushkin also, and it seems like both products are top notch.

Lol, hard decision! Seems like most prefer Gskill though...and I think I will try those tighter timings just for grins 'n giggles.

loL! Ummm....yes.

Well, tried tightening the Gskill. 5-4-4-15 works fine, any combo with 4-*-*-* won't post. So much for that, might try the Mushkin later.
