And the fact of a person turning on a VIDEO game to say they are "working out" is pathetic to say the least.

If you want to buy WiiFit because you like the games it provides, i have no problem. But when you are buying Wiifit with the attempt at wanting to get more in shape, thats just sad. Buying Wiifit in hopes you will get in better shape is like buying a bottle of penis pills in hopes you will make it over 4 inches.

And if their previous idea of working out was sitting on the couch eating chips? Nobody's saying that Wii fit is going to turn you into an Olympic-caliber athlete or that it replaces running, biking, lifting weights, or whatever else you might do for exercise. But for a lot of people it's a big step up from what they're doing right now and IMHO that makes it worthwhile. Exercise doesn't have to be strenuous for it to be beneficial.

I doubt there's any point in arguing with him. If he wants to be ignorant, let him.

I'm not quite sure on what the opposite of a fanboy is. He definitely hates the Wii and will hate everything that's released for it without reason. In a way it's just like talking to a fanboy I guess.

I agree with what you just said. It is a start. If "wii fit" gets people interested in REAL working out (not dancing on top of a weight scale), then I'd say it is beneficial. I won't argue with that at all. I do think Wiifit will probably get a small percentage of people to actually become interested in working out for real.

So yes, I agree with you 100%.
