I am running Ubuntu (8.04 x64) under VMware Workstation 6.0, and am not able to get more than 5 mice buttons working (left, middle, right, scroll up/down). I need buttons 6/7 (back/forward) as well, but even "xev" does not see them at all.
Tried different devices (evdev, vmmouse, mouse), protocols (ImPS/2, ExplorerPS/2), etc., but with no luck. Does anobody know how to make more than 5 buttons working with VMware emulated mice hardware?
