![]() Cat 9.12 Hotfix, HD 5970 overclocked to match the HD 5870 defaults 850/1200MHz and CPU overclocked at 4GHz I noticed lee63 overall score with HD 5870 Crossfire is 2464 higher than mine but his GPU and CPU overclock is also much higher. I don't want to push the GPU OC at this time, hard to get replacement and to get my CPU to 4.3GHz I would need to run the voltage at over 1.4 Question for lee63, did you use the Cat 9.12 certified or the 9.12 Hotfix driver? Anyway I'm happy with the P25589 score, the highest score I got with the HD 4870 x2 was P17937 with the GPU MAX OC in CCC. Will run some games benchmarks this weekend and post them in the "Other Desktop Graphics Cards Forum"

Shows just how badly i'm CPU limited when running 3Dmark vantage at the performance settings:
http://service.futuremark.com/compare?3dmv=1710953 Now a P30732 score seems impressive, but more than half the benchmark ran at the same FPS as when i was running it at the extreme settings, and it's the difference between 1280*1024 no AA with overall effects at medium,to 1920*1200 with 4X AA on top and post processing effects maxed out. These cards are making fun of my CPU basically... |

![]() I increased the clock speed on the HD 5970 to same you have in your signature 895/1295, I assume that is how you run the bench. Could not match your CPU 4.3GHz without going to 1.4875v, Decided it was way to high voltage so I increased the CPU to 4158 MHZ, for that I had to increase the CPU voltage to 1.425v. The new score is P26625, which is 1428 points lower than your score with Cat 9.12 driver, but my score is slightly higher than yours run with the CAT 9.10 driver, not bad I'm happy, need better CPU. I can easy OC the i7 965 EE to 4GHz 1.35v, anything higher needs some crazy voltage. ![]() ![]()
