Does 14,400 seem normal for an E8400 3.0GHz, 9800 GX2 Stock, 4gig DDR2 8500, Asus Rampage X48? I just built it and ran 3Dmark 06. Seemed a little low, but everything as at stock speed. Does it seem around the right score?
Thanks |

Seems about right, 3Dmark06 scores are already heavily dependent on the CPU, and the GX2 is bottlenecked by pretty much anything. Overclocking your C2D to 3.6GHz would give a nice improvement, probably more along the lines of what you were expecting. Quad cores also score alot higher then dual cores, even at lower clocks.

That's about what I get with no overclocking on the FSB. You could get well over 19k with your rig if you did OC. I get about 18.3k at 450FSB.
