I have an NVidia Quadro NVS 140M card in my Thinkpad. My laptop LCD can do 1280x800 max, but my external monitor (Dell 2007FP) can do much more than that. The problem is that whenever I connect/disconnect the external monitor, I have to launch the nvidia-settings GUI to change the resolution from 1600x1200 back down to 1280x800. I'm using dynamic twinview for these 2 displays. "xrandr -s" doesn't do the trick.
Does anyone know of a way to do what I need to do here? Thanks!! |

xrandr -s XxY --rate N
where with dynamictwinview enabled, N controls both the refresh rate and the screen the command will apply to |
